Children’s Rights

The former Office on the Rights of the Child (ORC) has been incorporated into the new Ministry for Women, Children and People with Disabilities. The Ministry aims to develop a non-sexist, discrimination-free, equitable and inclusive society that protects and develops the human potential of its children.

Its mission is to create an enabling environment to ensure the facilitation of constitutional obligations, policies and legislative frameworks to realise all children’s rights.

The Department for Women, Children and People with Disabilities (DWCPD) also aims to guide government to achieve national and global goals for the rights of children.
